Telling Stories Through My Lens

Photography isn't about the photographer, it's about the subject. I want to show people the sights and stories that I see through my lens - a bit like a storyteller really.

I’ve had a passion for photography since my dad gave me my first camera when I was 9 years old. For me it opened a whole new world, for my meant no more wee sticky fingerprints on his beloved Leica cameras. My youth was spent travelling the world with my camera in hand but most of the photos I took were through the window of a plane.

It was leaving London in ’05 and heading north to my family “hame” Edinburgh to recharge my batteries that photography took on a new meaning for me. Seeing the beauty of Scotland through older eyes pushed me into a new direction, made me look at scenes differently, wanting to tell a story in one image.

P.S. Special thanks to Sabine Pichlau for the portraits of me 🙂
